Taxes for Entrepreneurial Artists

March, 2014
Rosewood Arts Centre (Map)

Join Elaine for a follow-up to her sold-out June 2012 presentation for Getting in the Game, presented by the Rosewood Arts Centre. On March 8, 2014, she’ll be back again to talk taxes (just in time to file your tax return).

In this tax section, participants will review key aspects of tax law that are relevant to artists. The session will cover pertinent tax deductions, sales tax issues, and record-keeping practices to keep artists in good graces with their CPAs and the IRS. It will also highlight changes in tax law that may affect artists and freelancers in particular, including post-DoMA changes and the 2013 safe harbor for home office deductions.

Hope to see you there!
