Bookkeeping on a Shoestring @ CCF

September, 2018
Lincoln Theatre

Creative Control Fest continues to be the premiere gathering for creatives of color in Columbus (and beyond). This year marks the seventh (SEVENTH?!?) year of excellence, and this year’s theme is power.

In the spirit of empowerment, Elaine is leading a workshop on bookkeeping… Especially for those who are following a lean-overhead model.

Bookkeeping on a Shoestring

When it comes to tracking the financial health of your creative enterprise you have some options, and if you’re following a lean overhead model, QuickBooks (or another software tool) may not be right for you. This workshop breaks down what you need to track (expenses, income, inventory, sales tax, etc.) with a focus on using available tools (Excel or Google Sheets), while you grow into a more formal system.
If you’ve already got a system, join us to share your experiences and pick up a tip or two. If you’re building a system, come ready to work. Bring your laptop and access to the financial information for your business so you can leave having made progress on something you might not otherwise want to do.

CCF is September 28 and 29. Register here. The sooner you register, the better. This event will sell out, per usual.
Saturday’s line up features an incredible group of speakers, and Friday is a hands-on workshop day. Elaine’s workshop is from 1:00-3:00.
